Meta description: Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 is on the horizon, and many additions have already been leaked. Here’s what to know about the leaked CODM NieR Automata collaboration, new camo grinding feature, Battle Pass additions, and more.

The Call of Duty series has been around for years, and Call of Duty: Mobile is easily the most consistently relevant game. After all, while new console and PC games are constantly being released, COD: Mobile has consistent support that ensures it receives updates to keep things fresh. With Season 5 on the horizon, players have more collaborations and Battle Pass additions to expect.

Everything coming to COD: Mobile Season 5

Call of Duty Mobile continues to get new content added to it through updates, and 2025’s Season 5 is slated to be the same. Below is everything we know about the upcoming season, including leaks about a potential collaboration with NieR Automata, a new tracking system for camo grinding, and more.

COD: Mobile collaborating with NieR Automata in Season 5

COD: Mobile Season 4 saw a collaboration with the popular anime and manga series Seven Deadly Sins that added skins for Meliodas and Elizabeth to the game. Other additions included new draws and crossover rewards that were exclusive to the duration of the collaboration event.

According to leaks, the next collaboration is slated to be with NieR: Automata, the popular JRPG by PlatinumGames. While the collaboration will naturally include multiple blueprints for players to acquire, the ones leaked and likely to be obtainable are:

  • Legendary blueprint for the AK-47 “NRA”
  • Legendary blueprint for the PP19 Bizon “NRA”
  • Epic melee blueprint for the White Oath and Black Oath katanas
  • Epic melee blueprint for the White and Black NRA katanas
  • Epic melee blueprint for the Angel NRA gloves
  • Epic melee blueprint for the C40 NRA knife and spear
  • Epic melee blueprint for the TFS knife

This isn’t the only addition to expect, as the character Kui Ji will also get a 9S skin as part of the NieR: Automata collaboration. It’s safe to assume there would be a 2B and maybe A2-based skin, too. Regardless of what the game adds, LootBar is here to ensure you can acquire whatever cosmetic you want.

New camo grinding tracker system

Grinding kills to unlock grindable camos isn’t easy when you have to check how many kills you have remaining every time. Fortunately, Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 will change that with the new camo grinding tracker system.

Thanks to the new system, players can go to the grindable camo they want to unlock and then select the “Set up tracking” option. With the option selected, you’ll see how many kills you have remaining every time you complete a match, ensuring you constantly stay up to date.

Additional multiplayer game mode details

In contrast to before, players can now see additional details before queueing into a match. These details include the spawn areas and hotspots for the players based on the game mode they’re opting to queue up for.

Vacant map rework

Map reworks are fairly common in the Call of Duty franchise, and the newest map to get reworked is Vacant. In Season 5, the map will have its maintenance area completely removed. Additionally, the shipping container area will be replaced with the electrical substation.

It makes sense to rework the Vacant map, considering it was a cause of concern for many players. The shipping container area, in particular, was filled with too many hiding spots, making it tough to have proper gunfights. It remains to be seen whether the map makes it to the ranked pool after the rework.

The rework isn’t the only thing players have to look forward to. The new season also adds the Zoo map to the multiplayer pool. Those who played Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will likely recognize this map, as the developer ensured it’s mostly the same.

New auto-leaning feature

One of the biggest features coming to Call of Duty: Mobile has to be the auto-leaning feature. As the name suggests, it lets players auto-lean from corners without the use of any manual input.

Players can activate this feature by slow-jogging into cover, resulting in the character slowly and smoothly shifting their aim toward the opposite side. This will let players get into cover and return fire to take down enemies quicker without slowing down the action.

Auto-leaning isn’t the only animation-related addition in COD: Mobile Season 5. There will also be slight animation changes to ensure the gameplay feels dynamic and immersive. These changes will affect the ADS, sprinting, equipping, walking, and sliding animations.

New operator skins

As with every season in COD: Mobile, Season 5 will bring a handful of excellent operator skins players can get their hands on. The leaked list of operator skins you can look forward to includes:

  • American Bulldog – Tentacles
  • Baker – Cobra Hunter
  • Bathsphere – Killer Whale
  • Bulldozer – Rainbow Death
  • Lazarus – Scrim Net
  • Grinch – The Creature
  • Gustavo – Vicionusness
  • Kitsune – Warlock
  • Kui Ji – 9S NRA
  • Helen Park – Desert Gem
  • Powers – Coyote Dust
  • Vagr Modir – Frenzy
  • Run Yoshida – Noir Petals
  • Soap – Muddy
  • Syd – Woodland Cover
  • Vivian Harris – WC2025
  • Wyatt – Outback

It’s important to note that every skin on the list is apparently of Epic rarity according to leaks. The only exception is the Vagr Modir – Frenzy skin, which seems to be Rare.

New storage cleanup feature

The new cleanup feature is another highly anticipated and useful feature that COD: Mobile Season 5 will add to the game. Through it, players can scan and free up storage space by deleting any resources the player rarely uses. In addition to clearing up the device’s storage space, this also has the added benefit of players getting 2,000 Battle Pass XP for utilizing the feature. The additional XP is only claimable once per month.

Addition of the VMP

The VMP debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and will come to Call of Duty: Mobile alongside Season 5. The VMP has an excellent rate of fire, which players can take advantage of in the fast-paced COD matches.

The VMP also comes with a unique attachment called the Rapid Fire perk, which decreases the Fire Interval by 6% in exchange for a slight drop in Damage Range. It’s an excellent perk for using the VMP in tight maps with multiple short-range gunfight opportunities. Those who want to personalize their VMP can use the new seasonal camo called Ivory.

What’s in the COD: Mobile Season 5 Battle Pass?

The new seasonal Battle Pass is what most players anticipate the most every time a new season rolls around, and Season 5 won’t be any different. The first thing players will notice is that the new Battle Pass will have a completely fresh UI, with the words Infinity Realm clearly visible.

As for the weapon blueprints details, players can expect the following blueprints from the Battle Pass:

  • ASM10 – Bird Of Prey
  • LW-3 Tundra – Hunter Tracker
  • Hades – Scales
  • Koshka Snow Leopard
  • VMP – Stun Slash

Naturally, players can expect a variety of other in-game goodies as they progress in the Battle Pass. This includes COD Points, Credits, and more. It may be a good idea to recharge COD Points so you don’t miss out on the Battle Pass offerings.

When will Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 start?

According to the official Call of Duty: Mobile social media accounts, the game’s fifth season, Primal Reckoning, will go live on May 28, 2025. The exact time is 5 PM PT, so players should mark their calendars and expect to download an update around that time.

Conclusion

This concludes all the major additional features and updates players can expect in CODM Season 5. Of course, there will also be some minor additions, though most of them won’t affect the overall gameplay experience too much. While this season is slated to add a bunch of amazing cosmetics, LootBar can help you ensure you get your hands on all of them. With features players were asking for and a brand new weapon, Season 5 is shaping up to be excellent.
